If Woland is supposed to be Satan, then why does he do the will of Yeshua? Yeshua sends Matthu to Woland and asks him to grant the Master and Margarita peace. So why does Woland do it? Is it because both of them "do not deserve the light"? And by granting them the peace he is not allowing them to seek the light? Why does Woland even allow this?! Wasn't he amused with messing with Margarita or was his sole purpose to bring them together?
I commented on Sierra's!
I am curious about that too. I wonder if Woland does it because Matthu challenges him by asking if it is too difficult for him to do and Woland doesn't want to give Matthu the satisfaction that it was.
ReplyDeleteI might be digging too much into the Bible and not Master and Margarita but I automatically assumed that Woland(Satan) had to obey the will of Yeshua because he can't do anything without Yeshua's permission. As for the final destination of Master and Margarita I am confused as well about Woland's ultimate goal.
ReplyDeleteI think it's simply because, as Brianna said, he is doing the will of Yeshua. However, the overall purpose is quite confusing.
