Going Back and Forth

Honestly, I can't follow what Kierkegaard is talking about the majority of the time in this reading. He keeps going on and on about the same thing over and over again and doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. I know there is some meaning in what he is saying but I can't see it because I am still lost and confused from his writing style of saying the same things multiple times in a row. I NEED a class discussion about this if I hope to understand this in any way.

I commented on Abbie George's post.

  1. Yeah I would have to agree 110 percent. Not to mention how he brought up Lazarus on the first page, which totally sparked my interest. I really thought he brought up and interesting point and then he went absolutely, bloody nowhere with it!!!!

  2. I also found this really difficult to read due to how dense the material is, and the seemingly redundancy of word choice.

  4. I agree as well, it is very hard to see exactly what Kierkegaard is getting at.

  5. I completely agree. He goes on and on, then back and forth. I feel like he contradicts what he says.

  6. Yes, this is how I felt 95% of the time I read this passage!
